Want to know more about winning contracts with the Council?

Are you a Wirral based business who would like to compete for Council contracts but aren’t sure where to start?

Wirral is the ninth largest Metropolitan district in the country, and the third largest in the north west of England. With a resident population of 310,000 people, Wirral Council spends over £150 million with the private sector each year providing organisations of all sizes with a wide range of commercial opportunities.

A lack of information about these opportunities and a lack of understanding of the Council's contracting procedures may well be stopping your organisation from applying for contracts.

To make this process easier to understand Wirral Council is running a programme of workshops to assist suppliers in understanding just how procurement is managed by the Council.

The workshops will focus on key topics enabling suppliers to develop awareness and skills in identifying opportunities to participate in the bidding processes.  Workshops will be held at the newly launched Wirral Business Hub at Egerton House in Birkenhead.

Although the first workshop taking place on Wednesday 16th June is fully booked, if you would like to know more about availability for the workshops scheduled for Spetember please contact Gemma Henry at Invest Wirral 0151 650 6926.

The workshops are being organised jointly by the Council’s business support team, Invest Wirral and its Procurement Team to make sure that ‘doing business’ with the Council will be much easier to understand.
